Hope Bartimioli Thal (H.B. Thal) is a Los Angeles-based composer, songwriter, and vocalist. Her most recent work includes the score to, “Plan C,” from the lauded 2022 horror film anthology Give Me an A and the lead composer 2023 American Girl Doll animated series from Mattel, “Kavi: Girl of the Year”. She is a composer & orchestrator for Joy Music House, to which she is credited on critically acclaimed films scores such as, the Oscar-nominated Minari (Emile Mosseri) and The Woman King (Terence Blanchard), as well as the new Hulu series Death and Other Details (Brocker Way). Her songs have been used throughout programs from Mattel & MGA and featured on the CW, ESPN & Netflix. Her scoring work can be heard on Trollstopia, Trolls the Beat Goes On, & the I Heart Arlo Netflix series. She is classically trained and a graduate of the UCLA Film Scoring Program. Her debut singer/songwriter album, Bloom, was released in January 2023 and her latest Pop EP, Hooked, is available everywhere in October 2023.
